Organizing Simply: Sensory-Smart Spaces
Kia Wages is a Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Behavioral Specialist who works directly with autistic children and teens at a leading behavioral center in Georgia.
Kia has over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, sensory-aware classroom design, and parent communication, Kia brings a rare and powerful blend of behavior expertise, developmental understanding, and organizing skill to every family she serves.
Before becoming an RBT, Kia spent years teaching preschool, Pre-K, and kindergarten, coordinating after-school programs, training staff, and developing environments that helped children feel safe, focused, and confident. She also homeschooled her two children for over four years, giving her deep personal insight into how environment affects learning, regulation, and daily routines in the home.
In addition to her teaching and behavioral background, Kia has professional experience in office management and operations—building systems, structure, and efficiency. She also holds a Professional Organizer Certification (ORC), allowing her to merge therapeutic understanding with practical organizing solutions.
Today, Kia combines her behavior therapy training, sensory knowledge, homeschooling experience, and organizing expertise to create sensory-smart, functional, and calming spaces customized to each child’s needs. Her approach goes far beyond simply “tidying up”—she understands how environment directly impacts behavior, emotions, transitions, independence, and family peace.
